Sasol is an integrated oil and gas company with substantial chemical interests. Headquartered in Johannesburg, it is one of the top five publicly listed companies in South Africa, with a workforce of approximately 30,000 employees worldwide and annual sales revenues in excess of US-$ 11 billion.

 

Sasol Germany was established in March 2001, after RWE-DEA Aktiengesellschaft für Mineraloel und Chemie sold its chemicals division CONDEA to Sasol Ltd. CONDEA was a global player. In addition to Germany this includes production sites e.g in Italy, the US and China.

 

Sasol took over an organisation with 40 years' experience on the international markets, and which had built a reputation, particularly as a producer of surfactants and surfactant intermediates, solvents and inorganic specialities, e.g high purity alumina.
