Ultra high purity aluminas Sasol produces under the CERALOX® trademark high purity and ultra high purity aluminas in alpha, transitional or gamma crystalline form for use in high-tech industrial applications, including synthetic crystal growth, ceramics for semi-conductor processing and other high purity specialty ceramic applications, calcined aluminas for lighting, phosphors and luminescent materials, and specialty abrasive products. CERALOX® aluminas have high chemical purity (99.8% to 99.999%) and uniform physical properties. All important chemical and physical properties are monitored by our in-house Quality Control laboratory leading to exceptional lot to lot consistency. Chemical and physical properties can be tailored to meet customer defined specifications. CERALOX® also produces high purity and ultra high purity magnesium aluminate spinels for transparent and specialty ceramic applications.
The production facility is in Tucson (Arizona, US).
CERALOX® specialty alumina products are sold throughout the world under the product names, SPA, AHPA and APA.
